He maintain that he has a history with the party, adding that the party will not give room to passersby and hood winkers who came in from nowhere to reap from other people's labour.

The governorship hopeful urged the LG chairmen to remain focus and work hard for the party to win the 2023 governorship election, pointing out there is a need to liberate Abia from the shackles of poverty and bad governance.

He revealed that he would start a zonal tour of the state to meet with delegates and partymen ahead of the primary election from Sunday May 22, 2023.

He said, "We thank God for today, all the LGA chairmen in APGA visited me, we discussed on how we are going to move the party forward and the best way to do it.
We discussed about our strategies and the best way to achieve them.

"I have not been around before now, because I took out time to mourn my late father. We have a compulsory 21 days mourning period according to our culture. While I was doing that other people were on street and people thought that I was nolonger on the platform.

"Thank God today that we are all happy that those of us who have suffered enormously for the party for this years have come back to do what we should do the best way: that is taking back the party and making sure that it moves forward and they understand that.

"We are starting our zonal tour tomorrow Sunday in Abia North, on Monday we will be in Abia South and on Wednesday we will be in Abia South".
