Sam Onuigbo joins Abia Centra senatorial race, says I'm the best candidate for the job

The member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South federal constituency in the House of Representatives Chief Sam Onuigbo, has declared his intentions to contest the Abia Central senatorial election in 2023.

Onuigbo, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, announced his ambition on Friday in Umuahia the Abia State capital.

He said he joined the race to redefine representation in Abia Central senatorial district and make it more people-centered.

Onuigbo, added that representation to him means paying attention to the demands of the people and working hard to rewrite their experiences.

He said, "Purposeful and visionary leadership to the people compels me to offer myself for a more effective, accessible and responsive leadership to our people.

"We cannot afford to make mistakes in our choices, because the choice we make now would affect us and our children.

"We will replicate the principle of leadership as service imbued with the Effectiveness, Accessibility and Responsiveness (EAR) political philosophy. That way our representation will be given life by the legitimate needs and aspirations of our people.

"Every step taken will be based on our needs and in accordance with available resources to us to bring equal development to our communities.

"Together as a people, we will again redefine representation for this great senatorial district at the Senate and put in place a standard that will grow our district decades after we are done"
