The Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, has urged Nigerians to consider the unity of the Country before seeking for personal gains.

Kalu, insisted that the security of lives and protection of properties cannot
be achieved in the absence of unity amongst the different tribes in the country.

He spoke in his Igbere Country home during a get together with his constituents on Thursday.

He said, "The unity in family, Community, Local Government, state and the country is more important than whatever we are looking for as individuals, businessmen and politicians.

"We must remain committed to unity of the country than using violence to achieve our goals.

"I urged our people to register with the Independent National Electoral Commission and get their voters card ahead of the 2023 general elections".

Kalu also urged the Igbos to support the President, Major General Mohhammadu Buhari's administration.

He said Buhari has good intentions for the Igbo giving the equality of projects the president is executing in the South East zone.

He maintained that the president still has enough time to surprise the
Igbos.
