Jubilation as CONNAK foundation rolls out Christmas gift for her scholarship students

It was jubilation galore at the Connak foundation resource centre at Umuegwu Okpuala in Umuahia North LGA as the foundation rolled out Christmas gifts for her scholarship students.

The chief operating officer to the foundation Barr. Nene Jones, revealed that the gesture is a yearly ritual by the founder of the foundation Kenneth Okeagu, to put smiles on the faces of her students.

She urged the students to remain obedient to their parents as they take their gifts home to enjoy their Christmas.

Jones, also advised the students to be studious and always respect their teachers when they resume school next year.

The programs cordinator for the foundation in its Umuahia resource centre Mrs Sampson Abimbola, told City Times that 

152 students are currently on the scholarship scheme of the foundation across the three Senatorial zones of the state.

She explained that  92 students  were drawn from the Abia Central Senatorial zone, while Abia North and Abia south Senatorial zones has  30 students each.

She added that each of students received one bag of 50kg rice, One carton of Milo energy drink,

One carton of powered peak milk and Three packs of sugar.

Other items were one gallon of 5 liters of Kings vegetable oil, One piece of rapper, one carton of noddle, one pack of Maggi cube and one big tin tomato paste.

Reacting to the kind gesture some of the students including Favour Peter, Chimezie Nzeadibe, Onuoha Kenneth and Igbokwe Jonathan, thanked the leaders of Connak foundation for remembering them and prayed that God should bless them in other to continue the good work they are doing
