Our attention have been drawn to a publication by the group ' Conscience of the Masses ' led by Mr kelechi Kalu calling for the redeployment of Abia state Commissioner of Police, CP, Etim Ene Okon .

Such call at a time that the CP is doing very well in combating crime in Abia state shows clearly that:
(1) members of the said group are not living in Abia state to know the true position of security in the state.
(2) They lack understanding of how security works.
(3) They don't know the security status of Abia before Okon took over the mantle in Abia last February, 2019.

It is on record that last year, October, 2019 , the CP's men foiled a fidelity bank robbery in Aba. Last December, his men arrested 5 kidnapped suspects in Aba that confessed to the crime. In the same 2019, in the month of November, his men gunned down a die-hard robbery kingpin in umuahia which the residents of Umuahia and Isiala Ngwa are still thankful to God for using CP Ene Okon to bring to an end such a deadly armed robber.

These success is just a tip of iceberg of the successes recorded the the Commissioner last year 2019.

In 2020 , his men arrested 5 kidnapped suspect that confessed to the crime in Isiala Ngwa North local government area of the state.

The most recent feat achieve by the CP and his men is the arrest of a 5 man robbery gang that killed a couple in Umuahia after robbing them of their valuables and the Commissioner of Police arrested the same hoodlums that committed the crime January, 2020. What a gallantry!

These successes recorded by the CP in Abia state has never been achieved by any CP in the state since its creation in 1991.

For anyone after seeing the numerous achievements of the CP and still went ahead to say that he has under-performed by calling for his redeployment clearly shows that, he dislike the peace and tranquility Abians are enjoying in the state.

We call on Kelechi Kalu and his team to look for better things to do and leave our dynamic  and God given CP to Abia state to do the job he is efficiently trained to do.
